Happy 4th of July

This year for the 4th of July we headed out to Ruby Valley, Nevada for my moms family reunion. Since Hadley's not hitting the rodeo trail hard this year we were finally able to go, we haven't been for a couple of years. It so beautiful out there they all have ranches and since they cant ever leave, we go out there. We always have a big softball game, sometimes we go help move cattle and brand the new calves. This year Hadley and Preslie went and help my moms cousin Paul brand. Preslie thought that was fun. They have a huge problem with squirrels this year. They are everywhere and they are ruining their alfalfa fields so instead of shooting rabbits we spent the days doing a service project and took care of some of the squirrels.

My Aunt Beryls ranch has a swimming pool so in the afternoon we would go down to the pool and swim, which the kids loved. It was so fun to see all of my cousins; they have kids around the same ages as Preslie and Colter and they played and played. We loved sitting around the campfire telling stories and laughing until we cried! We love it so much out there that we never want to come home, I could live out there I love the country life, maybe one day!

Thanks to the entire Neff family for letting us invade and we hope to see you soon!

Happy Birthday Colter!!

Colter turned 1 on June 29th. i cant believe how fast the time has gone he is such a joy in our lives. We had his party with the family's the day before and went to the park and had dinner and cake. Colter loves food and especially sweets so I thought that he would love his piece of cake and would go crazy with, but he did'nt, he had a few bites and was off to play with his toys. Thanks to all of our families for coming we appreciate your love and support! :)

Horse Show....

Preslie had her first horse show a couple weeks ago in South Jordan. Our friends our in a riding club and they were putting on a kids show so we thought we would let Preslie ride. She was so excited all she talked about was running barrels. she competed in three events; barrels, poles, and flag race. She did so good in all three, although she wasnt fast enough to win anything she had fun and it was a great experience for her. It made us so excited for her to start doing it more often. We are so proud of her and hope she continues to want to be involved with horses! Good job love bug!!

Rodeo season has began....and the kids are loving it! A couple weeks ago Hadley and his brothers Bradyn and Shayne were up at Morgan and Herriman. This last weekend they were all up at Hyrum and Riverton. Hadley took 1st at Hyrum and his brother Bradyn took second. Then at Riverton Hadleys brother Shayne took 1st and Hadley took fourth. Hadley isnt hitting the rodeo trail as hard this year which is kind of nice, we get to go camping more! We love going to the rodeos and dont know what we would do all summer long if Hadley didnt. The kids have so much fun with all of thier cousins and horses! Preslie is doing so good on the horses, she reins good and loves it, she always wants to ride!

The Turkey Hunt!!

YAY....Hadley got his turkey!! Last Thursday night Hadley went up Butterfield Canyon to go hunting and he got up there and they were talking like crazy so he found them and "put them to bed" and went back up Friday morning and two toms came strutting in and he got one!! He was so excited. My dad was so excited for him and then got excited for his so they went up on Friday night but didn't hear or see any.....so my dad and I decided to sleep in on Saturday and not bother going out and hunting...maybe next year! Tom the Turkey is at the Taxidermist now and will come in October!!

Preslie...

Preslie had been busy this year with dance, T-ball and pre-school, she so excited to have the summer to play with her friends and cousins. She is so excited to go camping and go to the rodeo's. I am so proud of her she did so good this year with dance, last year she was like I was and cried on the stage and wouldn't dance and this year she didn't cry once!! At her pre-school program she did so good and sang and counted her numbers great...we practiced alot!! Preslie can hit the ball so good and throw good too...she didn't get her athletic ability from me that's for sure! :) You know when your parents would tell you how proud they were of you...I finally understand, I get so proud of Preslie and all that she accomplishes that I get so full of emotions...and go figure, I cry! Way to go Love Bug..Mom and Dad are so proud of you. Keep up the good work!

FiNaLLy......

Wow.....It has been so long since my last post, we have been so busy, with school, Whitney's wedding, Easter, boxing stuff, turkey hunting and just life!! Warning this may be long!
Spring semester has ended and summer just started for me. Hadley is busy with work, thank goodness. They had some slow times but no long term lay offs. He has been hunting everyday and night to try and get his turkey. He also has been Helping his brother coach Preslies T-ball team...I know can you believe it, he even wears a PINK, yes a PINK shirt! :) You are such a GREAT DAD!! Rodeo season has crept up on us, so now we will be busy with that. Preslie graduated from preschool last week and is excited to have the summer off. Her last dance recital is tomorrow and she finishes T-ball this week as well. Colter is a MONSTER, trying to walk, he is so close. He just needs to slow down a little and I think that he would.
Whitney and Tylers wedding was beautiful and everyone looked so cute, it was fun and we are so excited for them!
It was Mom's 50th birthday in March. We decided to do a surprise party, against her wishes! We thought we had it all planned out perfect with mom not knowing and we were all so excited about it! We had it at Noah's and had Morellias cater with great Mexican food. We got there early, decorated and then it was Tiff's job to get her there and thank goodness it was not me because I could not even talk to her face to face with out getting a slight smerk on my face. Once we got her there we were all hiding in the room and she walked in and was NOT surprised, my dad left a paper on his dresser that said Morellias Claudias party, and my mom just couldnt resist then to look through his blackberry and find everything! OH WELL..it was still fun!
After Easter came and went it was time to get ready for The National Golden Gloves Tournament held here is Salt Lake. It was a week long, and we were all there helping out! It was soooo much fun and a great experience to meet the people from all over the country. Hadley, my mom, uncle Brad and I started out by picking them up from the airport Saturday and Sunday and shuttling some of them to their hotels, some of them drove in or rented their own vehicles. It was a long couple days but was very fun to get to meet all the boxers and coaches. Then we attended a banquet on Sunday night to get things started off. Then every night we were there to cheer on our Utah fighters and help. Hadley, Uncle Brad and Tyler helped at the glovers table making sure the boxers had their gloves and then got to clean them off after. Derek thought he was important..:) he was a security guard. Tiff, Whit, Lindsey, Mom, Brenda and her girls and I helped selling T-shirts and helped take some of the judges, referees, coaches and boxers on tours on Wednesday to Kennocott Cooper Mine, and to Gardner's Village and then on Friday to the Olympic park and lunch in Park City!! The only mishap was on Thurs night one of the rings broke and luckily no one was hurt. That was the ring they were going to leave up for the final night, so if had to happen it was the best night for it to. My poor parents were sooo exhausted but they did such a fantastic job, and EVERYONE loved it. Kuddos to MOM and DAD and all of your hard work, I loved every minute of it! I cant wait to do it again! 2012?!
After the tournament was over the next weekend my parents took all of kids to Seattle and watched the RED SOX vs. Mariners game....It was AWESOME!! And the Garlic Fries are to die for mmmm. It was so exciting and we had terrific seats in left field by the foul line and we were only 15 rows up!! I was like a little kid, I was so excited. Hadley does NOT like the Red Sox so of course he had to buy a Mariners shirt before the game and wear it with his White Sox hat....the Red Sox won... :) We did a tour of the city the morning before the game, and Sunday during the day. Seattle was so pretty and we loved being down at Pikes Market, it was so much fun to experience and all of the beautiful trees, there are trees everywhere...loved Seattle, I would love to go back and spend a little more time. Then we flew home late on Sunday ! Thanks again Mom and Dad it was so much fun! I love being able to do that with the family.
Now we both drew turkey tags along with my Dad, Brad, and Kade so hopefully we will get one! Sorry this was sooooo long, I will try and update more often! :)

Seattle!!
